ANZIIF Learning
To access course materials, go to anziif.com > Log In > Learning.
This will bring up your Learning homepage.
The homepage lists all the courses you are enrolled in. These include Learning to Learn, a free course designed to show you how ANZIIF's assessments are laid out and give you some tips to help you make the most of your studies. Once you select a course, you will be taken to the course homepage. This page lists all course materials and provides information about course requirements.
Your course materials include:
- Workbook - Complete one section of the workbook every week.
- Observation Checklist - Complete the listed tasks while being observed by your observer.
- Learning Pathway - The course content is broken down into four (4) weeks.
- Weekly knowledge checks - Check your knowledge at the end of each week of learning content. These tests are automatically marked.
- Interactive simulation - This should only be completed if you cannot complete the tasks listed in the Observation Checklist.
- Assessment - Only available on the Assessment Date. You must complete all parts of the assessment on this date.
Access to study materials
You can access your study materials seven (7) days before your study period begins.

Preparing for the Assessment
Knowledge Checks
Knowledge Check questions are provided at the end of each week of learning. These questions are structured the same way as the assessments. Use them so you know what to expect on the day and to check your understanding of the course content.
Open resource, but be prepared!
Assessments are 'open resource' and you can refer to the learning materials or your own notes as needed. However, checking each answer before submitting is time consuming. We encourage you to prepare well before sitting the assessments.
In some assessments, a learning pathway reference is given for any question answered incorrectly twice. This gives you the opportunity to review the relevant content before submitting your third and final try.
Competent and Not Yet Competent
We assess using a Competent/Not Yet Competent framework. Under this framework, a person either is competent in the knowledge and skills required, or has room for improvement.
Each part of the assessment is graded separately. For example, you can receive a 'Competent' grade in one part but not another.
If you receive a 'Not Yet Competent' mark in any part of the assessment, you need to re-enrol in the unit and re-sit that part of the assessment.
Re-enrolment is free of charge but must be completed within six (6) months of the original assessment.
Read the Assessment instructions now
The Assessment instructions are available on your course homepage. We strongly encourage you to read them now.
Clicking on the Assessment link now will not start the assessment. Assessments only become available on your assessment date, as outlined in your confirmation email.

What to expect
Accessing the Assessment
The online parts of your Assessments will become available in ANZIIF Learning on your Assessment Date (see your confirmation email).
Before that date, clicking the Assessment links will take you to the instructions. We recommend you read these carefully before you attempt the assessment.
On the scheduled day, an 'Attempt now' button will appear at the bottom of the Assessment pages. Clicking 'Attempt now' will start the assessment.
Time and date
You can complete your Assessment at any time that suits you on the Assessment Date. You can complete each part in a single sitting, or complete them in several sittings throughout the day.
ANZIIF is open between 8:30 am and 5 pm (AEST and AEDT). We strongly recommended that you sit your assessment within these hours so any technical issues can be reported to Customer Service on +61 3 9613 7200 or NZ free call 0800 103 675 for troubleshooting.
Assessments (Australian Skills Units)
Four (4) parts of your assessment are due on the Assessment Date. These are:
- Part A: Knowledge Assessment (Online)
- Part B: Performance Assessment (Online)
- Part C: Performance Assessment (Online)
- Workplace Observation: Practical Assessment
The specific requirements of each section are listed within the assessment pages in ANZIIF Learning and here: Skills Units Assessment - ANZIIF
If you are studying towards the NZ compliance for advisors, your assessment requirements differ slightly. Please refer to your enrolment confirmation email and ANZIIF Learning course page.
Assessment requirements
- A stable internet connection is required. We highly recommend using a wired connection (via an ethernet network cable) rather than a wireless connection. Assessments are automatically saved every few minutes. Please contact Customer Service if you have any technical issues on +61 3 9613 7200 or NZ free call 0800 103 675.
- You should switch off or set your mobile phone to silent for the duration of the assessment.
- You must not copy answers from anyone or use artificial intelligence (AI) tools such as ChatGPT. Students found in breach will be subject to academic misconduct procedures (see Student Policies).
- Do not discuss the assessment questions with anyone or copy any portion of any question. Queries about questions should be referred to ANZIIF. Please note down the question number or a defining detail to help us identify the issue.
